What is QR Code?

A QR code or two-dimensional code is a matrix barcode developed by the Denso Wave company in 1994. The word “QR” comes from “Quick Response”, which in English means quick response, because of its creator. it is intended to allow code to be decoded at high speed.

A QR code consists of black squares arranged in a square grid on a white background, which can be read by an imaging device such as a camera, and processed using Reed–Solomon error correction until the image can be appropriately interpreted. The required data is then extracted from patterns that are present in both horizontal and vertical components of the image.

Initially I created this app to create a QR code Vcard for myself to share with my friends so that people can easily add me to their phone book.

Just scan qr-code to connect to Wi-Fi network. The simplest way to provide Wi-Fi information, include SSID and password. Please don’t setup a Wi-Fi network with hidden SSID, since android device cannot connect properly via QR-Code.
